A common concern when buying a refurbished iPhone, such as the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, and iPhone 11 onwards is related to the battery warning you may encounter:
“Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available for this battery.”
This message is visible in two places, firstly a popup on the lock screen (visible for 4 days), and secondly as a message within the Settings > Battery section (visible for 15 days).
When a battery is replaced during the refurbishment process by anyone other than Apple this message will be visible.
If you have this message on your refurbished phone, it is nothing to worry about. All batteries used during iOutlets refurbishment processes are of OEM quality which means they are built to the same specifications as the manufacturers original battery.
As mentioned above, the battery message only appears on the lock screen for 4 days and the battery health settings for 15 days and then the message is no longer visible.
In summary if your refurbished iPhone has a non genuine battery warning it is nothing to be concerned about, these notifications does not affect your ability to use the phone or functionality. The phone will include a PhoneCheck certified label showing the phone has been fully tested.
