The iOutlet Refurb Process
We’ve put together a transparent guide that gives you insider knowledge of our process.
First stock arrives from our suppliers or customers who have chosen to trade in their devices. We create a stock list and give each device a grade based on its cosmetic condition. The grading system is:
A+ Grade – Pristine
Like new condition used product with no signs of wear. Item has been fully tested in full working order.
A Grade – Excellent
Excellent condition used product with little or minor signs of wear. Item has been fully tested in full working order.
B Grade – Good
Good condition used product that will show moderate signs of wear across the device. Item has been fully tested and in full working order.
C Grade – Average
Average condition used product that will show signs of heavy wear but has been fully tested and in full working order.
Next up is one of the most important steps in determining whether or not a device is ready for reselling or if they need referring to the repairs department. Devices go into testing to ensure overall functionality is still in working order.
Once tested, devices are given to the right department if they need refurbishing. Repairs to the screen, replacing the battery, or other repairs are completed to ensure the phone is fully working. If the screen has light scratches, the screen is polished to give a like-new finish.
After repairs are completed, we retest the device to confirm functionality is as it should be. The phone is then sent to dispatch, where the overall quality of the device is checked.
After all testing and checks are complete, the device is available for sale. From refurbished iPhones, to Apple Watches, to iPads we refurbish a wide variety of devices enabling our customers to access great technology with a warranty for less.
After a device is purchased, we package it up into a box and bag the device up with a postage label ready for it to be collected by our delivery partners.
